So I have had my Sony RX1R in my hands for a couple of weeks now and have had some chance to use it as I intended, as a walk around snapshot/street camera. I am forming opinions and they are good. I guess I am still in the honeymoon phase right now so I am weighted towards gushing love for the camera.
What I love is the small form factor, even more discrete than my old Fuji X-Pro1, I have even put black tape on the logos and it almost disappears, so unobtrusive. I thought the size might be an issue for holding securely and using but I have been surprised, I have even been able to use it one handed while walking my dog, adjusting the shutter speed as I go.
The one issue that has raised its head is the autofocus, its a bit slow if I'm honest, but its not far different from the X-Pro1 so I'm used to that, I've tried shooting form the hip and its a little hit and miss in auto. Should probably use a focus trap really hey!
